1980 Whitby Yachts Center Cockpit Ketch

“IYCHE” Whitby 42 ketch.  She is a full keel, heavy displacement hull designed by Ted Brewer. This popular model, with over 300 sold, offers a center cockpit with owner’s cabin and private head aft, and the guest cabin and an additional head forward.  She has a good-sized center cockpit and is comfortable, seaworthy, and forgiving even for a novice sailor. “IYLCHE” is incredibly spacious and airy below decks with generous sleeping cabins and 2 heads.  Accommodations include 6 berths in 2 cabins. There is full 6'3" standing headroom and excellent ventilation throughout. Forward is a large V-berth with center cut out. Her 5’ draft and 80hp Ford Lehman diesel make her an ideal cruising boat or liveaboard for the shallow waters.  Likewise, the Whitby 42 is a blue water capable cruiser with a number of ocean crossing.  Recent work include replacing the running rigging and servcing the bright work.
