2001 Bayliner 4788 Pilot House Motoryacht

Look what I have here: a original owner Connecticut Yacht Club Bayliner 2001 4788 that's been professionally maintained and serviced since new. She boasts the 370hp Diamond Series engines ($18,000. option new) which are not prone to the damages of "over propping" that afflicts the 330hp (which are not Diamond Series- it's more than just cpu code settings and injectors) Cummins. 12.5kw gen with a new lower end.

Never damaged. Bought new in Connecticut.

She's a short season yacht that is stored out of the water for basically nine months a year. She has only 1271 hours on her. She was (8/18)serviced by the Cummins dealer (since new) in preparation for her owners final summer cruise which started 8/18/2019 -her owner ran her for five (5) hours at 2500 rpms and sent me a photo of her transom afterwards=Perfectly clean.

She boasts a 12.5kw generator, Marine reverse cycle air conditioning (3 units when you have the 12.5 gen, the pilothouse AC unit has higher btu rating than those that came with the 8kw genset). She has all the standard equipment these boats came with. Her electronics are original, but all work. Before you get all caught up in new electronics, just know that many cruisers run everything off their IPads now.

The only minuses spotted were three (3) small area's of the paint flaking on the aluminum .Washer/dryer has never been used, and may, or may not work. Wall paper is “bubbling“ in a few paces (which is normal on these boats over time) The solution is so simple-you just inject glue into them, and squeegee with a piece of plastic.

These are very popular vessels to do the Loop.

Engines serviced every year by Authorized Cummins dealer. Owner has work orders going back since new. This is a one owner boat.

Ship hauled every year and shrink wrapped for the winter. Always. Boat has spent its entire life in the Northeast with western Long Island being its primary cruising area. Detailed every Spring and washed every 2 weeks.

The original barrel chairs that came with the boat are in storage, and can be considered “new”.
