Short season (only 500 hours on mains and generator) 2005 Meridian 490 that’s spent it’s entire life on Long Island NY. She’s never been damaged. Her current owner previous yacht was a Bayliner 4788 that he had purchased new in 1998. Like many 4788 owners who love their boats, but wanted a newer one-the Meridian 490 was the answer. He purchased her from an absentee European owner who rarely used her. Having previously owned a 4788 he knew exactly how to upgrade her to contemporary standards, and which upgrades were needed.

Upgrades and repairs:

Bow and stern thrusters

New Eisenglass

Repaired the Generator base in lazarette, new frame and case (a latent defect of all the Meridian 490s)

Rebuilt the davit (a latent defect on all 4788s and 490s)

Serviced all the machinery and changed all engine hoses

Added underwater lighting

Replaced all the canvas

Added Satellite TV

New stereo

New ice maker

washer/ dryer

 Let me reiterate: this yacht has never been damaged. She is NOT a Hurricane Sandy vessel. Her current owner knew her before the event.

Not many Meridian 490s were ever built (with 08 being the year of highest production, and of those few, most stayed on the  West Coast. Brunswick (their parent company ) instead focused on the higher profit margin 459 models which sold for over $800k new.
